 IF you drive..... FERRY RESERVATIONS usually open Jan/Feb of THAT year.  Which is now.. 2026.  Please pay attention to opening dates from Woods Hole to Martha's Vineyard https://www.steamshipauthority.com/reservations/tickets [ create an account ] There are [2] ports; Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven.

If you have a 230p Ferry Reservation..... that means the boat PULLS OFF @ 230p.  DO NOT ARRIVE for your ferry AT 230p!!  Please....to save your heart, body, mind & wallet.... arrive at 1p @ most.... they will make you park your car in the line and you can use the restroom, get a snack, etc.  

IF you have more than one adult + in your vehicle, you will have to pay for the additional people in your car approx $20 each [ either online or at the ticket center on-site ].  

Please take into account traffic, accidents, bathroom/gas breaks... all that contribute to your 1p ARRIVAL time for your 230p DEPARTURE.   

Reservations may also be made via U.S. mail. Up to five reservations per mailing will be accepted, and mailed reservation requests will be processed on the opening day of the respective route.
We suggest that, if you wish to make reservations online, be sure to visit www.steamshipauthority.com and access your profile online prior to opening day. 

When you go to log in, have your profile number or user name and your PIN or password ready. If you do not know these, you can call 508-477-8600 and they can assist you with your profile number and instructions on how to get your PIN. The instructions are also on the FAQ section of our website.

Please determine your dates of stay and choose your Ferry Tickets wisely.  IF your plans change and you need to get on or off the Island earlier or later AFTER you purchase your tickets... you can ask to be placed on the waitlist for your desired date and time. There are (2) fees; #1 For your vehicle ( roughly $275 r/t )#2 $19 per person IN the Vehicle.
